Creating Eco Friendly Wardrobe Staples
At Eco Staples, our mission is to create simple everyday wear that emphasises elegance, comfort and quality. Additionally, we aim to bring sustainability and environmental awareness into clothing choices and ensure our products leave a minimal footprint on the planet.
Campaigning for a switch to sustainable alternatives
One way we are accelerating this process is by actively working with companies and event organisers to offer them our sustainably sourced and ethically made T-shirts. While other products in the market claim to be organic or sustainable, Bamboo speaks for itself as the most sustainable raw material - requiring no irrigation, pesticides or herbicides to grow. Coupled with the new age Lyocell production method, it becomes a compelling choice.
With Singapore government promoting initiatives such as the Enterprise sustainability program (ESP) and the broader Green Plan 2030 we hope that more and more businesses will pivot away from cheap, inferior and mass produced apparel and show their customers or audience they truly care about our planet.
Working smarter, not harder
As materials and processes become greener, we will look to implement them into our business model. We do not, however, want to just do it for the sake of keeping appearances. For instance, biodegradable bags sound like a fantastic way to combat landfill waste, however they are not eco-friendly to produce and will degrade on the shelf if not used in the prescribed time.
We prefer to take a more sensible approach in our sustainability goals and minimise the use of raw materials in the production and shipping of our products. For instance, we designed our own recycled packaging material specifically for our t-shirts. This enables us to efficiently ship our orders and pass on the savings to our customers.
We hope you can join us on our journey as we seek to grow, refine and enhance our product offerings that are good for both you and the environment.
